Yup JDM's are 2.0 still. so that the impreza can still qualify for rallying.

Maybe it didn't say earlier but now says

"Truely awesome car comes Brand New, 9 delivery miles only. Registered and Taxed. Reg number is OU07 FNH"

juggers 05 June 2007 09:24 PM

That's a bargain!!! but it's been listed a few times and things keep changing.

bluenose172 05 June 2007 09:29 PM

Just did a quick vehicle check on the reg number and it comes back with this - Make - SUBARU Year of manufacture - 2007 Model - Engine size(CC) -1994

It doesn't come back with a model description.

stevebennett 05 June 2007 09:30 PM

I thought the Spec-C interior Centre console was matt black and not the silver finish?

ek9/sti 05 June 2007 09:38 PM

Is impossibly cheappppp....

Thought there was something up with this car as it doesn't have a cat 1/2 alarm which is required to get it through the sva.:wonder:

bluenose172 05 June 2007 09:47 PM

Who's going to ask him the tough questions then....?:)

The MY06 onwards Spec C Type RA is black with alloy heater controls. The standard Spec C is the same as UK/Euro STi models i.e. silver plastic.

Terminator X 05 June 2007 11:21 PM

It's a wind up or stitch up as not possible to get a brand new Spec C for circa £20k ...

"OU" registration numbers are what Prodrive normally use to register rally cars.

Have a look at any rally footage, and a Prodrive supplied car will have the reg number OU.
They can supply a car for about that money but it needs a cage fitted before it's registered.

I think at the current exchange rate the Japanese are getting them for around £18k, but to import it over here, SVA etc, would come to much more than £19K.

I thought the white wheel jobbies were Group N donor cars ?

just had a reply from the seller and he says it has been registerd here in the uk and passed a sva etc etc. if you can see this for your self if you ever go down to see the car, and its genuine, its a bargain:norty: . just wish i hadnt bought a house!!!

Pretty hard to pass an SVA without a model report for the euro 4 as they are not available to the public. If its a Prodrive car then it would have been stripped and prepped as far as im aware, and also it doesnt need a cat 1/2 alarm for the SVA as its not a standard vehicle feature, though for insurance purposes the chances are it will need one fitting :)
Basically I wouldnt touch this with a barge pole unless you do some serious looking into how its got through the SVA to get registered.

It would need atleast a cat 2 alarm in order to get through sva ;)

It's one of the first things they check.

TonyBurns 07 June 2007 10:40 PM

Read the first part, 9. xxxxx, this is a euro 3 model report and not a euro 4 so its not valid for this car :)
This may give you a better idea of whats avialable though ;)
