Normal insurance won't cover it, as in theory it is a 'timed event', which is excluded by pretty much every company.

TBH you won't need it anyway, you would have to be very, very, very (you get the idea) unlucky to crash on a quater mile strip. :thumb:

John1uk 03 June 2007 11:18 PM

Thanx mate :thumb:

Cornelius 03 June 2007 11:23 PM

It's a good crack running up the strip, you don't get time to get nervous when all the crowd are watching you, you get staged, then you concerntrate on the lights, the lights turn green, and you're gone!!

I raced Jonjo, beat him off the lights and thought YEAH BABY!!! then he shot past me like I was standing still and my time was a 13.3 sec run @107MPH!!! if I remember he got a 12.7 run!

baz69birds 04 June 2007 07:05 PM

Dont know if i can make this,
Wife is at work so ive got the kids..

& not getting them up @ silly o'clock & having them screaming in my ear all the way there & back..... :(

Dont look like it mate ..

Esc normally has 15 passes allocated for this & reserves as well , Or i just nick KS Allocation :norty:

But ....

Think Santa Pod has become a little long in the tooth now ( Well for me anyway ) Same cars , Same layout , Same strip , Traders etc .. Done it nearly 10 times now , Does not interest me personally anymore

But we normally have a ESC Pod crew who attend :wonder: Hopefully a few names will be added soon ;)

Tiny ...

Phil 09 June 2007 08:01 PM

No Probs big Guy as you know I have never been a great fan of the Pod but its horses for courses and is certainly not a boring event so those that haven't been get your name down and have a good day

We always have a good turnout and the stand will be full

I have reduced the pre ordered number for Essex to 5 so please put your name down asap because the demand in the other regions has been very good

wozzaa 09 June 2007 08:22 PM

I've been acouple of times well worth going just for the Jet car:D

Moley 09 June 2007 09:10 PM

I'll be there....my name is on the list on SIDC

Just a quick question......what's the best way to get back to the M25 avoiding the M1?

bibo_boy 09 June 2007 09:22 PM

The Bibos might be interested..... never done it!!!!

Any other "newbies" fancy this???? :)

Phil 09 June 2007 09:40 PM

Gary exit @ J13 Mate , Cut across country A505 IIRC ( Baldock ) Can either pick the A1M Up or the M11 @ Stanstead & Then down to the 25

I Use this route everytime on the way home from the pod

Great driving road as well ;)
