Not so sure about the Utd away kit, horrible stripe. Chelsea green?

davegtt 31 May 2007 11:24 AM

I saw the Chelsea one about 3 weeks ago and thought it was a joke.

The prem ones are horrid. Mind I'd never by a football top anyway.

davegtt 31 May 2007 11:27 AM

Dont like either of Uniteds tbh, the away one looks very retro with that stripe, reminds me of an old subbuteo team I had lol. The Liverpool black one looks alright though.

STi wanna Subaru 31 May 2007 11:31 AM

United away reminds me of Ajax.

16vmarc 31 May 2007 11:43 AM

Very European isn't it.

STi wanna Subaru 31 May 2007 11:49 AM

cheap and tacky is what it is.

16vmarc 31 May 2007 11:51 AM

That sponsor will never help.

WTF ?? we only had new home and away kits this season, I thought it was a two year cycle, big OG if they think they can punt out a new home and away every 12 months, not to mention the media grief they will recieve.

got to pay for the new players somehow. I'm all for it. It's an idiot tax. I've never worn colours for a football game and never would.

Coming bottom of the Prem and we'd still have money over :)

16vmarc 31 May 2007 12:37 PM

Last kit was a 1 year 50th Anniversary commemorative shirt.

STi wanna Subaru 31 May 2007 12:40 PM

Well if Arsenal can get away with that then why cant United :D

monkeysan 31 May 2007 12:45 PM

newcastle are releasing the new away strip at the Celtic game, hope it's a little more inventive than the new home strip "lets just reverse the colours lads, the kids will LOVE IT!"

That's a great idea - instead of black and white stripes, they could have white and black stripes :luxhello:

Funkii Munkii 31 May 2007 01:29 PM

To be fair theres no a lot you can do with stripes or hoops is there, only adjustments to the collar and sleeves, more room for manoeuvre with a solid colour.

monkeysan 31 May 2007 02:08 PM

have you seen the state of some of our old away shirts though?

50 years in Europe, so why wear it for the Prem games, we had a specific red home shirt for Europe back in 99 (my favourite) which was never worn in the Prem.

Blatant rip off, I don't care which club it is it's a disgrace.

16vmarc 31 May 2007 04:14 PM

50 years since the Busby Babes.

G-STAR 01 June 2007 06:40 PM

The United home kit may be the real deal, but the away is definitely a fake.

DLP 02 June 2007 04:51 PM

Not to bad is it ?

^^ got mine pre ordered comes on the 28th :)

Nice to finally have a decent kit suplier after recent crap wev had from lonsdale. If i was a mag id be hoping your addidas deal is long running and Riley doesnt decide to switch to lonsdale with it being his own brand.

The above image was floating around for a wile and believed to be our new away kit but turns out it was a photoshop hoax based ont he ROI home shirt.

Shame really as i quite like it.

flat4 13 June 2007 03:40 PM

Let me know if anyone finds the new Derby kit, being made by Adidas so should look similar to the Chelsea/Liverpool kits  just a shame it won't have the smae caliber of players wearing it :lol1:

monkeysan 13 June 2007 03:51 PM
