DOES MILAGE MATTER WHEN HAVING A RE-MAP

hi just wondering if you have a re-map on your car with slightly high miles is it more likely to go bang or something else give up compared to a lower mile car, mine is on 84000 and could do with a map cause i have changed to a full decat exhaust thanks in advance:thumb:

it will probably do it a world of good rather than damage, it will sort out your fueling and any other issues it might have

daniel p smith 30 May 2007 01:26 PM

thanks for the reply i better get it sorted:thumb:

i been offered a " chippedUK " live remap for 150 quid!

now this sounds cheap to me but people on other sites have said good things about them

daniel p smith 30 May 2007 04:02 PM

what is that then and how is it done:thumb:

Matt_taylor 30 May 2007 04:07 PM

think they flash your existing mapping and then make a new one,

Though he said that if i had any problems he can just upload the origional one back on

daniel p smith 30 May 2007 04:17 PM

do you have to go somewhere to get it done or is it done anywhere like mapping on the road

Sounds like a standard map ala PPP and not one that's bespoke to your car.
Keep an eye on it and fit an AFR meter and Knocklink if you can run to those!

Daniel,

Powerstation at Tewkesbury are top mappers & a Rolling Road.

They helped develop a UK model for Subaru so, they know their stuff.

They advertise on here and Rich is the man.

Worth a trip down M6/M5.

Done 2 remaps for me,

Good Luck.
