Wonderful I thought. Puts a few things into perspective.

Was good, I never realised that the "special relationship" between us and the US was basically as they were bankrolling us after the war, we only finished paying them back last year!
Interesting program, I didn't realise how hard it must have been after the war, my grandparents / parents only ever talked about how bad the war was. I guess even though there was a lot of poverty and homelessness after the war, they maybe there was a feeling of relief as at least it wasn't raining bombs any more.
