Sleeper

Dill_typeR 23 May 2007 03:18 AM

Hope it does stay dry for the spectators sake, it keeps changing on metcheck, its usually pretty accurate.

Phil 23 May 2007 07:25 AM

Rain and Wind was forcast for Japfest last weekend

You should see my sunburnt forhead ;)

What do the weather forcasters know anyway

flat4 23 May 2007 10:06 AM

You can be as optimistic as you like, we all know it's going to piss it down  funny thing is, they moved it a week forward this year and guess what the weather was like last weekend :lol1:

Phil 23 May 2007 10:09 AM

Japfest organisers obviously paid a little more for the weather :D

P20SPD 23 May 2007 10:32 AM

Sadly, metcheck is usually pretty accurate for elvington! :(

Phil 23 May 2007 10:39 AM

Better get lots of SIDC umbrellas on the stand then ;)

Pete 23 May 2007 10:44 AM

Yes, i`m affraid it`s going to be 12degrees only and rain, my sister lives not far from there and it looks bad for sunday....:( :(

Phil 23 May 2007 10:50 AM

Not looking much better Down South

Southend [Europes Largest FREE Airshow] usually attracts "good" weather :(

RA Dunk 23 May 2007 11:05 AM

checked the 5 day forecast for york first thing this morning and it was really really wet looking, just checked it again 5 mins ago and its had a slight change
BBC - Weather Centre - 5 Day Forecast in Celsius for York, United Kingdom

maybe not all doom and gloom then :)

Phil 23 May 2007 11:25 AM

:luxhello: :luxhello:

ex-webby 23 May 2007 11:41 AM

Don't worry.. we've booked good weather, they just don't want to make it obvious, or people will get suspicious! :D

Forcast is looking dry now. I reckon it'll improve during the week. It'll still be great anyway. A bit of wet on the track will spice up the handling circuit! :D

P20SPD 23 May 2007 11:55 AM

BBC is usuall wrong

Metcheck.com - Global Weather Forecasts - [Updated on 23 May 2007 at 11:00] - Weather Feeds - Live Data - Long Range Weather Forecasts

Elvington is a very different weather climate to York itself, its almsot like a micro climate.

pete.300 23 May 2007 02:44 PM

Well i looked on bbc and it said sun but 12-C:norty:

Neilg7777 23 May 2007 05:42 PM

The weather only changed after i cancelled the hotel :brickwall and decided to go camping instead :cuckoo:, But saving me £112 :luxhello:. My first Subaru event so the weather is not going to spoil it for me. Can Not wait:thumb:

There are some slight discrepancies as well depending on whether you choose 'Elvington' or 'YO41 4AU'

The latter is slightly more favourable, at the moment, the points are about a mile apart, and the post code is still a few hundred yards from the track area, so it may pass us all by:Suspiciou

scottish_jim 23 May 2007 07:37 PM

Rain or Shine - Bring It on :)

Dill_typeR 23 May 2007 08:18 PM

I have a feeling it won't lash it down, but maybe a little moist at times.

Mmmmm, moist:)

gussy 23 May 2007 09:04 PM

Dill your sounding more like jeremy Clarkson :)

KJD Mk1 24 May 2007 10:25 PM

Checked the forcast to-day and Sunday is not to good so the Scooby coat is going to come in handy:p
Do all the events still run if its lashing down?

chrisT.O.T.B. 24 May 2007 11:15 PM

event will run if raining, 1/4m strip subject of course to clerk of course and appropriate tyres :-) usually the 1/4m can continue all day unless we get the same amount of torrential rain as last time!
handling cct wont be a problem :-)
