Back from a week in Australia!
Wow, what a week (or 8 days in fact).
Managed to blag a business trip to Australia after being involved in a new project and was even better than I expected as I thought it would be another typical business trip where I only get to see the inside of a plane, airport, hotel and the office. What I ended up experiencing totally blew me away. I assumed I was visiting one of my companies offices in Sydney however I got some surprises when I turned up at the plush office on Monday.. here is a teaser of what I was greeted with: http://www.vurso.com/personal/images...u-inchcape.jpg Even though we were on business we had a great time and got to see the sights. Subaru were great hosts and really know how to treat their guests, they had us driven around in a limo for a couple of days :) The work ethic is fantastic in Sydney, very similar to that of Japan I reckon but probably to do with the way Subaru treat their employee's in the Sydney Head Office - people generally work late and at weekends as well. I think its due to the effort Subaru put into developing their staff (everyone had laptops, plush working environment and everyone drove Subaru company cars). Scooby's are massive in Australia, one of THE most popular cars; Most of the company cars were Subaru Liberty's (aka Legacy's) and the car I was given was a nice 2007 edition Liberty wagon in gleaming white :D I was shacked up in the Crown Plaza Hotel, not a bad place, not quite 4 star as they say it is however view was great, had a big dual carriage way next to us, every other car was the burble of a subaru and the odd R34 GTR popping a dump valve - They are really big on their tuning scene over there, not like the ****ty barry boy stuff we have here but proper street racers. I enquired about the 2008 model however they were very hush hush about it for the time being. A few of the staff are getting the new model but I think its just the standard non-turbo models. They wouldn't give me any information on the STi model however I was given a scan of a Oz car mag that detailed the new 08 STi model: 2008 STi Here are some more pics: http://www.vurso.com/personal/images.../subaru-hq.jpg http://www.vurso.com/personal/images...ubaru-hq-2.jpg http://www.vurso.com/personal/images...-3rd-floor.jpg http://www.vurso.com/personal/images...ip/scooby1.jpg http://www.vurso.com/personal/images...ip/scooby2.jpg http://www.vurso.com/personal/images...ip/scooby3.jpg http://www.vurso.com/personal/images.../skyline-1.jpg http://www.vurso.com/personal/images.../skyline-3.jpg http://www.vurso.com/personal/images.../skyline-4.jpg http://www.vurso.com/personal/images...y-harbor-1.jpg http://www.vurso.com/personal/images...y-harbor-2.jpg http://www.vurso.com/personal/images...ist-like-1.jpg http://www.vurso.com/personal/images/oz-trip/harbor.jpg http://www.vurso.com/personal/images...ra-house-1.jpg http://www.vurso.com/personal/images...manlybeach.jpg http://www.vurso.com/personal/images...each-diner.jpg http://www.vurso.com/personal/images/oz-trip/ute.jpg Enjoy! APPARENTLY Subaru's are seen as lesbian's cars in Australia... Just thought I'd throw that into the mix.
I'm heading out there myself in June for 2 weeks... I love lesbians. |
Lol
They are big in Sydney due to the head office being there. I recommend you checkout docklands, they have an amazing show room down there. Enjoy your trip! |
Having spent time on the Gold Coast I didn't see many lesbians driving Scoobs...
...unless they were trapped in mens bodies!! ;) |
