Pray tell me why it was rubbish. Fight scenes were awesome and it had a great dark atmosphere to it. It wasn't predictable like most hollywood rubbish nowadays. A classic in its own right.
How dare you shoot Chunk from the Goonies. Very funny pics matey

It was loosely based on some ancient battle that I have long since forgotten its name. From the very start of the film the ending was known :( The dark atmosphere was just weird and distracted from the story imo. As for the battle scenes they were horribly unrealistic, and also detracted from the fighting dynamics the leader character had gone on to describe.
The whole reason for his downfall was due to the traitor, who was only a traitor as he was not allowed to fight with the Spartans...and he was not allowed to fight as he could not raise his shield so that they could fight as one. Just after saying all that spiel for most of the film they all fought like solo terminators, with v little teamwork. It was only the first and last fight scene where they used the teamwork they had gone on about.
Anyway, you loved it which is the important thing. Its my loss that I did not :(
