It could be that this question has been posted already... But well, as the search facility is down...

My left mirror - well I guess - produces a very annoying whistle
at high speed.

Is there a way to get ride of that?
It's on a wrx2001.

Get a piece of insulation tape,fold it in half lengthways,sticky side out,push mirror back on its fixing towards the window,put the tape into the slot so when you release the mirror the tape sticks to mirror housing and fixed mount area,hopefully this has blocked up the slot that was causing the whistle.

yea got that one too, after some F!*king idiot in a van hit my mirror.
