Hello Everyone,

I have Catalunya 1997 Impreza and lately I have been experiencing a very light front end and wheel vibration on the motorway.
On normal roads it sometimes feels like one of the front wheels is like twisting slightly over a bump in the road.
Does this sound like my ball joints on the track-control arm or lower arm might be packing up or loose ?? Or bushes ??? Wonky Shocks ???
I've tried moving and rocking the front wheels and cannot detect any play in them.
The car has done 51,000 miles by the way and fitted with 17inch speedlines with P-Zeros .. 205/45 profile.

Any ideas lads ??? Or what checks I can do ??

Cheers

Gary

Could check your alignment

Is front light end steering anything like light front end steering? ;)

If so then you could be looking at balljoints, although wear normally results in friction/heavier steering.
Do you have any unusual tyre wear? Have you changed tyre pressure/tyres recently?
I think Mo's suggestion of a geometry check would be a good start and get the guys to inspect the suspension components at the same time.
Sorry I can't be more specific.

Neil.
