very annoying boost and ticking noise from fuel filter location

ive got a my99 uk turbo, and every so often i get a very loud ticking noise from the fuel filter location, when i get the noise at anything over 50% of acceleration between 3 and 5 1/2 revs i get an anoying shudder all the way to over 5 1/2 revs, then suddenly it'll stop, i changed the fuel filter and pump to walbro 255 as it needed it anyway but still same problem
