Is there such a car?

I was looking on the forecourt of a Japanese car importers for a cheaper car than my current Scoob and came across one.

It was 10pm at night so couldn't ask about it.

The GTR stickers were on the b-pillar and on the tailgate, with a big Nismo sticker on the front. Is it a bit special ala Type R or has someone spent too much money on stickers!! ;)

N-reg for £6495, couldn't get any more info than that!

Cheers
Andy

Sounds more like a GTi Andy, especially at that price. Mate of mine bought one earlier this year at a dealer, was a 96/97 P and was 7200, so looking at the price you've quoted, I would imagine its a GTI. (Unless some nutters tuned it and put in a GTR engine ;))

Cheers :D

I remember reading an article in one of the much loved motoring mags featuring a red GTi with GTR badges all over it, so it might be that one, Nissan did do a Jap only special edition with uprated performance and a different bodykit but they were quite rare.

Remapped ECU
Sports exhaust

Very quick car

There was indeed an Almera GTR, i read an Jap converted to Eng article on the net Civic Type R V Almera GTR in 1998, with all the specs, the cars never got sold in the UK. I believe the CTR won overall but Almera was highly prasied.

I will put the link in when i find it.

Thanks Matt, I guess it might be worth a test drive then! :)

That black Almera (Pulsar) has got MY99/STi alloys on it ;)

More like too many naked women Andy hehe.

What he has failed to tell you is the car lot is next tho the Sir Robert Peel strip club :D

Serious note now I have been asked to check out a few cars being sold by these people and advised all of them not to bother if you know what I mean.

Regards

Steve

Steve,

Your opinion is always respected!! :) So when are you going to finish my car off!! ;)

Anyway, I blame the beer and shots they sell in the Peel!! ;)

That's one wierd car, it's got the body of the old shape Almera, the front lights and airdam of the new model, and as already mentioned STi wheels.
Maybe it was a transitional model to arouse (OOER) interest in the new model?
Looks bloody awful IMHO and I've got an Almera GTi so it must be bad!
