Hi all,
Does anyone know or the best way of restoring paint that has had a few years of abuse with tree sap, my lady friend has been given her mothers Punto that has the above problem.

I have'nt tried anying yet, thought about tar remover or T-cut.

Any advice would br great.

Hi Paul

My mate is a mobile valeter around the glasgow area, if that doesnt work then you could give him a call and he could probably do something. He used to restore cars so he may be able to help.

Give him a bell on 0771 829 1065 ask for Dave.

do in the day light so you can see exactly how it's going... street lamp light isn't very good... unless you've a garage of course :O)

good luck

After washing with warm water, I'd try something like tar spot remover, which is also rather handy at removing dead insects as well. It's probably a lot less effort than scrubbing it down with T-cut, which would do the job, but you would probably end up with a lot of paint coming off the car as well, which would be a lot of hard work!
