Here It Is The Big Route Up For the Southerners
 

Date... Sat 5th May.
Location....The Elan dams near Rhayader in Powys.
Time..... Looking for everyone to arrive between 12.00 - 13.00 HRS
The plan....... Lets get as many scoobs together as we can, everyone bring picnic , bbq etc for the afternoon :) .

So, Big KJDMK1 as asked me to sort a route and timings.

With all goods Operations, there will be 3 Phases.

Phase 1 - The Meet Up
Phase 2 - The Route
Phase 3 - The Arrival

Phase1 - In Detail.

An initial meeting point for the South Wales lot will be J32 ASDA Carpark. This is basically the start of the main route up anyway and will get us a coffee or Fat Donalds McFeed Your Face first:thumb: From there a nice drive up (:norty: ) to Cyfartha Park for Phase 1 part Deux. This will allow the northern South Walians to meet us there.

Phase 2 - The Route

The route to keep things simple will be up the A470 via Builth Wells and Rhayader to the Elan Valley. This will allow the Midlands, North and Mid Walians to meet us.

The A44 can bring in the Midlanders and the North and Mid Walians have options to meet us there too. we can then motor on to the Dams and car park.

Phase 3 - The Meet Up

I am looking for a willing volunteer from the MWS to get to the car park and marshall:notworthy please:luvlove:

So, now the important bit, timings!

I can only speak for the Southerners on this but

J32 - 0900 hrs leave at 0930 hrs.

Cyfartha Park - 1000hrs leave at 1030 hrs.

Dams about 1230hrs ish.

there are numerous places where we can be joined along the route eg. Storey Arms, Brecon By Pass, Builth Well setc

The arrival time at the dams will depend on speed to the location BUT rememeber the number of Police around when the PH and MWR was going on earlier this month.

Most people may have kids so again exercise restraint, respect other road users and all arrive and depart in one piece.

So, get the disposable bbq's, umbrella's and lashings of ginger beer ready and let's make this a good one:thumb:

Or even the postcode of the Final meeting point before the Dams??

I'm travelling from the North. Where is the best place to meet with you all so I can drive up to the dam with you?

Dam I cant make this, I broke my wrist when I was snowboarding in france and I dont get the pins out and the cast off until the 10th of may.

Cross hands is good for, I'll meet you on the Swansea bound ON ramp on the bridge just past the roundabout.
