anyone converted their 03/04 blobeye centre consol to the 05+ spec?
 

As above - very interested to hear what parts were needed and long with how easy it was to do.

i did it to my03 sti fella

Dealer price for all the bits needed comes to around £1200 :eek:

but there is a thread in for sale general,someone is selling the full setup.Fitting wise it isnt to difficult as long as your a compitant sort of guy :D

The whole swap took me about three hours,but i was being anal(cleaning edges/and hovvering unreachable carpet etc

All the fixing points are in the same place,there is a thread on nasioc about this,i shall see if i can find it

Out of interest is the silver trim a differnet colour from your original trim. Ideally i still want my defi pod to match!

and one other question! currently my DCCD-A switch and dial are in the consol surrounding the handbrake, along with my folding mirror switch and movement pad/ Where did you lre-ocate these to?

i relocated my window switch into the 06 ashtray,i just cut out a small bit of plastic,and the window switch fitted nice and snug,and was hidden away behind the flap,replacing the cig lighter(which was never used)

ust off to scoobymods.com so i will look for a guide on there

yes - and was on the way to buying it when i realised i would have problems with the folding mirror switch and directional pad.

I would have been able to move my dccd-a switch further down the new consol so it would have been next to the diff controller. But there is no where to put the mirror gear (I didn't really fancy housing it in the ash-tray for re-sale purposes.)

Also priced up the newer door cards to solve the problem (mirror controls are there now i thnk?) but as well as not being a straight fit they are also not really worth the money once you add the swtich gear:(
