Which polisher - other than PC. Sonic blue in poor state

My classic is an MY00 Sonic Blue and the paint is a bit sorry looking.

Its ok from a distance but theres plenty of swirl marks in the light and although I've tried my best with using megs applicator pads and microfibre cloths.

Every year I try different brands, megs, clearkote autoglym and every year I'm just not happy with it.

Having seen the results people are getting with polishers I'd like to give one a try. Bit concerned I'll cock it up and end up with a faded mess of a bodyshell so any user tips would be handy.

Although probably considered the best I don't really want to fork out £150+ for a Porter Cable.

Many thanks

I have the same car as you m8 and mine was a right mess - but the PC is well worth the money IMO - other then that get it detailed by somone with one and just maintain it :)

I also did her pug which was a right state both came out mint

Fully concur - either go for the PC, or don't bother and get in a pro to correct the paint for you, then concentrate on maintaining it. None of the cheaper polishers I have come across have been any good, and most of those available on the high street are actually buffers and not polishers (and a polisher is what you need to deal with defects and restore gloss). With the pound so strong against the dollar, now is a good time to buy a PC as well! :)
