fit universal 2.5" sports cat to 3" downpipe

anyone knows if this is ok? or the 3" goal will be lost? ( want more than 350 bhp... )

The gases will be limited by the 2.5'' cat so that will be the controlling factor.
A 3 inch system needs a 3 inch d/p and a cat in there is a d/p hard to find (don't I know it)

What bore is your centre Pipe ?? If 2.5 inch, Put it in there !!
