Title says it all really.

Looking to upgrade but know nothing about the correct offsets for this car.

Edited to add, I take it 18x8 is the correct size with a 225/40/18 tyre?

Cheers

Nathan.:)

Anything between 7" and 8" is ok for 225.

Standard wheel is ET55, anything between ET50 and ET55 will be fine.

group N gd8s run 35mm offset on 8x18s. I suppose they must have some serious arch modification.

Adam, I heard this from the other user of the wheels that you have, but I seriously doubt an ET35 has been homologated for the 01, as the standard is ET55.

The best offset for an 01 is ET48, but the STi7 needs ET43 to clear the lower edge of the OE Brembos.

ET48 provides excellent steering weight and clears all arches and dampers.

Thanks for all the replies.

Damn my technical incompetence:D

What you say makes sense pete, but you know the source of the wheels, and you know they are only available through motorsport contacts.

They are definitely intended for impreza fitment and that is the offset they come in.

Perhaps the group n cars are trying to run a wider track. At least all the gd8 cars have the whel arches which migth standa a chance of covering them.

It doesnt make sense to me.

All I know is that I am pissed because the gold ones dont come with centre caps.

A swift phonecall to oz italy reveals that they are not sure of the caps even come in gold or not for my wheels. They better bloody do, Or I wont be a happy bunny.
