re mapping

Hi I went up to see Andy Forrest to re map my 2004 wrx after having a decat exhaust fitted and K&N air filter. Andy was unable to re map my ecu unit, he could read it but it would not allow him to change it. He has never come across this fault before and has re mapped 100's has any one else come across this ?

Yep, as above. What did Andy say ?

Andy thought may be a problem with ECU or possibly a wiring problem. I have had the car 2 years it was 8 months old with 8000 miles on the clock still under warranty

WE can't "lock" an ecu to prevent another EcuTek tuner working on it, not possible.

One thing, needs the test connectors joined and there are sometimes two sets of those so if the second set wasn't joined then it wouldn't reflash.
