Mk V Golf SE spec
 

I have gone through a few sales places on the net, and some road tests, but havent been able to find a definitive answer as to what the exact spec of a 2004 Mk V Golf 1.6 FSi SE should be (latest shape one).

In particular, should the SE spec have front and rear electric windows? I thought only the S had wind up windows on the rear, yet a Golf im looking at for sale as an SE has wind up ones in the back?

I dont want to pay out SE money for an S spec, and I have a niggling suspicion that im looking at an S that has air con and alloys, but none of the other SE spec???

Best bet is to phone a VW garage who'll tell you what the car really is and what options it was ordered with.

If you look at the Volkswagen uk website it doesn't list the SE model, just the S model which has air-con and electric front windows as standard:thumb:

The SE was the model below the GTi in the MkIV range.

I've got a copy of the original brochure from when the Mk V was launched.

The SE does NOT have electric rear windows as standard.

I can list all the additional items of SE equipment if you'd like.
