Oopppps...... need a new car

Mrs D's car Citroen Picasso looks like it'll be buried at sea......following a small river incident. (My fault not hers !) Need a 5 dr diesel replacement that'll house 4/5 in comfort. (Picasso had 3 individual rear seats, making kiddy seats easy, rather than two outer seats and a hump for someone to perch on in the middle). I'd like a mid sixed 4x4 (height & towing ability), as much as I like cars, I hate spending money on them, so no more than £10k.
Options I can see are Rav4, X-Trail & Freelander, any opinions on these or any others I could add to the list ?

CRV Honda.

Excellent, as is the RAV4, X-trail gets good reviews too.

Freelanders at that price will be somewhat unreliable, although the best off road/in rivers ;)

From what I know, 1) Rivers are wet & 2) the CRV diesel hasn't been out long & is c.£15k ?

If you shop around you may be able to get a diesel for admittedly around £2k over your budget.

With that in mind, RAV4 gets my vote :thumb:
