alarm / imobiliser reset
 

had the battery off my 1996 uk impreza turbo today and when it was reconnected the car wont start. the alarm is a sigma with built in imobiliser. it still locks and unlocks the car and sounds when activated but the engine just wont fire up. also the rev counter doesnt move when the key turns the engine over. i have checked all the fuses and they are all fine so i presume the imobilzer has triggered maybe thinking the car has been tampered with.
is there any way to reset the alarm or would disconnecting the alarm wiring loom totally bypass the alarm and imobilser.

please help as i need the car back on the road asap
