any difference

hi all,
ive just bought a hayward & scott backbox and a decat centre pipe. ive also been offered a p1 down pipe that has a cat inside as standard, what i need to know is:

1) will the p1 downpipe fit a my99 wagon?

2) will the new system give me any noticeable bhp gain?

3) will it still pass a M.O.T test?

i need to keep the car road legal but at the same time get better performance and a nice sound.

thanx in advance for any advice :thumb:

1:-do not know

2:-yes,better turbo spool up,throttle responce, better sound, finally you can hear the turbo whistle,Bonus round!!..you get to wake the neighbours up in the morning...and the awsome sound that the car will finally make

3:-no(But there are ways round it!!..Do not know how it works but some nice garages can give you an MOT pass without cats!!!

sorry i could not be of any more help!

on p1's, isnt there only one cat converter?:wonder: and thats attached to the downpipe, and they have a centre pipe with no cat? the person im buying it from told me as standard the p1 has a fast flow sports cat built in the downpipe, is this true??:wonder:

P1 down pipe is exactly the same as any other catted classic down pipe.

Only on newage cars did the sports Prodrive cat pipe appear:thumb:

The P1/Type R only have this cat and a centre resonator with no cat.

For best gains and still be road legal, get a decat downpipe and centre cat pipe.
