fuel injection problem

In my 93 import wrx im havein trouble with the car running far too lean as discovered at a rolling rd day. I went at the spark plugs today and three were in fine condition but the back left (as you look down on the engin) was badly blackened as if it was running too rich. Can anyone tell me how I can go about getting an even mixture to all 4 cylinders as I dont want to burn out the piston rings. Im not sure if the engine is even getting enough fuel. Anyone ever have similar problems with injectors etc. Any help appriciated. Cheers

What mods are you running on the car that would make it run lean ?

Dave :)

a Front mounted intercooler is about it. Its been re-mapped using a legacy ecu.

put a walbro pump in or have fuel reh tested to be sure it is ok. Also what it sounds like is the injector on that cylinder is blocked and not fueling right they are a common fault and you can blow the cylinder if you are hard on it.

I bypassed the fuel filter and it improved it a small bit. I emptied the filter and the petrol in it was filthy black. So its looking more like a blocked injector. I bought a new filter and a fuel system cleaner so hopefully it will flush out the system and work. How much are those fuel pumps?
