Take it you have a fancy font style / different spacing etc as opposed to just a private plate ??!!

sure I read the other day that for the mot test the actual font / spacing on the plate does not have to be 100% legal its up to the mot examiner to say if its readble or not - although the plate itself does have to be in good clean undamaged condition and made up off the correct materials.

take it it was the same guy who had stopped you earlier for the plate ?? if so unlucky !!

Just get it spaced correctly wit hthe right font and youre going to be OK or they can confiscate it. Happened to a local guy who insisted on turning a 3 backward to look like an E

I have had a private plate for 6 years over 3 cars, but it is spaced and fonted legally so I never get any problems from the police.
Not only are illegally spaced and / or fonted plates illegal, but they look sad and crap so you have double the incentive to get them put back the way nature intended :thumb:
