Hmm,
something doesn't seem quite right to me. The claim an improvement of 0.6 seconds in the 0-400m time (1/4 mile), with 12.8 against 13.4 (even this seems very good for a standard 2.0 turbo!) However, for the standing kilometer, the improvement is only 0.5 seconds (24.8 v's 25.3). This suggests that the modified car is actually slightly slower at higher speeds. However, they also claim an increase in top speed. Perhaps they were tested on different days, with different wind conditions etc ? Something doesn't seem to add up. I can't see how they can claim to leave your warranty unaffected - perhaps it's the case that you can return your car to original condition in 5 minutes or less http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif |
I have asked the same question, but it seems no-one around here has tried it. If you want I can forward you the e-mail I received from digital motors about the chip.

Hi,
Anyone here had any experience with the Digital Motors ECU. Claimed bhp and torque increases - without affecting warranty. A bold claim me thinks. There's an ad in Autosport this week and the Impreza chip is listed at 450. They're a Swiss company. Here's the URL. |
A very bold claim, does look very impressive even in a foreign language
