Help.. I need my clutch doing !!

I'm from New Brighton and I need soemone to do my clutch, someone I can trust and someone who isn't too expensive.

Prosport want £800 and tell me I need a new flywheel, I dont have £800 or really think I need a new fly wheel, take it apart and show me otherwise and I'll pay for one, but for now, just the clutch and general health check !

Any suggestions ??

Thats the same as the quote I had from them too. CAS at Bebington are not much cheaper as just the clutch is £575 thats for an Exidy organic. My mate who has a garage is doing me a price so will let you know what he can do it for.

if you want a standard clutch, get one from camskill for less than £200, then get Railway Motors in Westhoughton to fit it for you at £170 bargain. Alternatively, try scoobclinic, there website gives costs, think it is £395 for standard and £495 for uprated (think you may need to add vat though)

Try Lloyd Motors on the small industrial estate just off junction 7 of the M53, head towards Rivacre roundabout as you come off the motorway then turn first left up on to the industrial estate, its down there on the right.
Ask for Trevor and tell him John Wainwright sent you.

Its John WRX BTW

eBay.co.uk: Exedy Subaru Impreza 2.0 Turbo Clutch Kit (item 290100762082 end time 11-Apr-07 15:31:45 BST)

Is that any use for you, I've got one ordered and my mates doing a deal for me on the fitting. Will let you know a price when I've got one.

Daz1121 24 April 2007 02:00 PM

Right almost sorted out now. CAS are fitting new clutch for me at £235 so with me paying £120 for clutch total price is £355, not as bad as it could have been.

£411 ?? or does my maths let me down again ? :wonder:

If so, what would I do whilst it was getting fitted as your quite a distance from me... and what difference would I notice with a exeddy clutch ?
