Newbie saying hi...

Hi :)

I'm Dan, just thought i'd pop in and post a few piccies of my Scoob, i've had it since the end of January and i'm complete happy with absolutely stunning motor. I was registered when looking for a scooby under a different name, so thought best to start over ;)

I bought the car from a member on here (shanevo) over in the forest of dean...it was the first impreza i looked at and i knew straight away my search was over, a full credit to shane!!

Heres a few pics...

The car is relatively standard, bar a HKS super dragger exhaust and apexi i/k. Although, it boosts and holds 1.2bar, which seems high for 97ron petrol, and for the year of this model??

I don't have many plans for it, just an up rated fuel pump (if it hasn't already got one) and a full decat. Then a remap/ECU if the above mentioned is standard?

Ta,
Dan

Thanks for the comments guys!

When i bought the car, it cme with silver alloys, so i decided to spray them rover grey, which has worked quite well imo :)

When i picked the car up, it had just done over 46,5k miles, which for its age is unbelieve the condition of the interior and exterior shows it tho, its not even clean in the pics above! lol

1.2 bar is more than standard, I think standard for your year is around 0.8.

However, most mappers tend to map around this level - depending on mods obviously. My MY00 is mapped for 1.25bar.

When the exhaust is changed, the boost naturally goes up - happened to my old 95 WRX which was boosting around 1bar after a full de-cat.

Pretty safe, but still best to remap to be on the safe side of course :thumb:

Thats what i'm thinking mate, once i get myself sorted with a decat, then get it set up properly :)
