996 911 Turbo S - A38 today... Awesome run mate!!

Just had the best head to head run... ever.... :D

Coming out of Birmingham and loaded up with Lianne & her stuff....

Black Turbo S cruises past loaded up with girlfiriend... so I decide to tag along...

Few miles later out of town and on to the A38 proper.. this thing takes off........ Now... I still decide to tag along fully expecting to get my arse kicked big time.. But..

You did pull away.. but not as quick as I'd have thought..for the extra 130 horses & Torque.

Obviously we never went over 75.. but.. if we had have done.. I don't think there would have been much in it up to.. Oooh.. say.. 155+.. Your 191 top speed would have seen you pull away in to the distance and most likely pull a decent gap.... Thanks to the traffic, I could quite see myself catching you up... But I would have been very happy up to this Terminal velocity..

I'd have thought the various roundabouts and twisties would have seen.. you vanish.. but up to the 75 MPH top speed.. it wasn't that different...

15+ miles we played? I've never driven so quick and hard before staying with you.. it's a real shame I didn't get chance to flash as you pulled off..

That mate was an awesome drive.. thanks for the privilege of staying in your rear view mirror..big in some places.. smaller in others..;)

Top stuff and one that I won't forget..

Oh yes.. Shift change light came on in every gear...

(Disclaimer: except 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th)

Can anyone work out what I 'would' have got with 6,500 in 6th? :notworthy

That 5 MPH takes into account my speedo inaccuracy...

Don't tell me you've become a Nun now you've passed your PT3 and that we'll never see you on a Buttertubs or North Yorks run again? :lol1:

North Yorkshire was annexed by the Isle of Man in the Great Dales War and has ever since been ruled under their law.........or did I dream that :wonder:

What you doing up anyway, watching Sin City by any chance :D

Nah.. Online gaming... Medal of Honour.. good crack.. time for bed now..:thumb:

Did the calculation BTW...

JDM 6th & final ratios equate to 143 MPH @6500. Seems a little low to me... even considering the headroom of a thousand revs.. Also considering the power will be tailing off..

PAUL CRAFTS 01 April 2007 12:41 PM

MINE does 157 on the speedo so i should imagine that yours would be better?

BTW .... ITS JB :)
