Avon ZZ3 or Toyo T1R proxes for 06sti ?

As above had both of these before (toyo T1S actually !) for my WRX and both were ok with the toyos very grippy but tramlined a lot whereas the avons not quite as grippy but lasted longer.

Anbody got experince with these on new age sti's

I find the Toyo T1Rs excellent on my Newgae WRX ! Apparently better in the wet than the T1Ss that you had before.

Changed the OEM Bridgestones on my MY06 WRXPPP to Toyo T1 R`s after 7K miles and they are spot on in all conditions :thumb: .

That make 100% for the Toyos. :lol1:

Thanks Guys, looks like toyos then (disregarding the wear rate !) at 97.50 each against 102.00 for the avons for 225 x 45 x 17

Camskill fit them for me , however I do drive past them every day so thats nice and easy, They also do lots of various sizes as you so cleverly spotted.

Never had chance to call in and see them what with their location however they are always fab on the phone. Mike has helped me out a lot with various servicing bits. Rapid shipping too so highly recommended!

Have tried both tyres mentioned and was never that impressed with either that much, i would say the Avons where better than the Toyo's which where good when new but went off quickly and tramlined like a bitch, even with 3mm of tread left the T1R's didnt give me confidance.

Now bear with me here, i have had a set of Maxxis MA Z1 Victra fitted to my car , yes they where very very cheap as the distributor wants feedback on them but i must say they are extremely good.

Another board user has just ordered a set for his 340 BHP Bug eye in 225/45/18 at £74.90 each from MYTYRES. Well worth a try in my opinion.
