Did anyone see it? I thought it was fantastic; Curtis' delivery and challenge to Isaiah Berlin - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (Isaiah Berlin's) notion of negative liberty was brilliantly pitched. Superb telly! :thumb: |
Yes, thought it was excellent.
Explains (if not justifies) US foreign policy in th 70s. |

Amazing TV, can't beleive that a lot of the wests political policies we now see are based on John- A beatuiful mind- Nash's 'game theory' ...wonder if he came up with the theory before or after 'treatment' ;)

Explains (if not justifies) US foreign policy in th 70s. I thought it was a great series. You can also how the government uses the 'targets' thing in almost everything they do, the over simplification of problems ('Speed Kills) and the belief that if you peddle this stuff enough, then most people will believe it. There are also the 'unseen threats' - the Communism, Cold War, the War of Terror, Global Warming etc. A lot of this stuff makes sense when you put it into the context of 'The Game'. |
