Roads with no cars

Does anyone know of a quite section of road or roads where my nervous wife can drive my car, she has not driven for about 12 years and wants to start again....

We are in Basildon Essex but are willing to travel a little way if it`s a nice day out as well.

Thanks all, Darren. :thumb:

Set the alarm for 6am Sunday morning.

Find an area where old people live.

Superstore carparks after closing time.

Should do for the moment.

Find an industrial estate on a Sunday or after 6 in the evening. Note lighter evening from now on.

Best order the new clutch now :D

You might be best to book her a couple of hours with a local instructor so she can get her confidence back again.

M6 Toll Road. Last time I came down it I appeared to be the only person willing to pay £3.50 to avoid going round Birmingham. Three lanes of Tarmac as far as the eye could see to myself and I was stuck in a Peugeot 407 Diesel.
Had just bumped into the Top Gear Guys filming their amphibious Car show though so it wasn't a completely boring day.
