We had ADSL installed today and when I came to sign into MSN
Messenger it said that I couldn't! So I checked the password and tried again, same problem. 3rd time it said that I had signed in, (well it didn't bring up the message again) and it launched me into a blank screen failing to bring up any contacts (or anything else). It could be a fluke, but as it was working yesterday and the only thing that has changed is the connection I thought it might have played a part in it??? Any ideas? J.R-XRS |
have you changed the connection type or is the program still thinking your using a modem?

Don't forget to add into the mix also that you're now using Internet Connection Sharing, so no doubt that will cause these Microsoft products some confusion!

nah msn and adsl work fine, trust me :)
but seeing as it sounds like your connection was modem when it was installed, thats probably what its looking for, so you need to go into properties and change it. Also if you are running any firewall software (which you better had be!) you need to allow msn access through that. |
