i found these on disc last night when i did the red dragon rally
5th gear corner downhill in margam park driver cut cut corner and we barrel rolled it 5 times broke my left arm but other wise ok car was total and was rented for the rally :eek:
must big up for all those rescue guys top job and for the speckys who got me out of the car :notworthy

the guys where still in the cossie as we barrel rolled over them:eek:

next time when i say dont cut logs he will listen:lol1:

5th gear corner, if you called it as that then I can see why you ended up in the hole ... not in a million years (Its a open 90 Right over crest)
Deceptive ....... Very just ask Duval, Makkenan, Higgins, Chris Jones !!! LOL

PS how lucky was the Cossy

I doubt that even the super skills of Detail Matt would have helped
(well done on the venue by the way many wouldnt have taken the time)

your are right is was rhondda my memory is get worst must have been the bang on the head its nice to see all those top drivers getting it wrong on the same corner but it was me and chris who did it first:lol1: :lol1: :lol1:

The bend has claimed a lot of Named drivers over the years, in fact about 30 years from memory, it is slightly different in look now as all the trees on the approach and the trees on the outside of the bend have been fallen in the last 3 to 4yrs

Luckest guy ever Tommi Mac slill flat in 5th over the crest threw it sideways and scrubbed all the speed off before sliding down the escape road (wouldnt belive the speed if I hadnt seen it myself UNBELIVABLE !!!!)
Unluckest Guy Graham Coffee Evo8 tried the same approach flat in 5th threw it in ,but unlucky for him it dug in resulting in one of the biggest accidents seen in Britian 8 rolls and ended up 90 yds in the scenery. OUCH !!!
Glad that you`ve recovered from the bump, any plans to resume the left hand seat ?
Chris did try another 4wd car (Escort Cossy) but has sold up and gone to try other things.
