STi06 tyre wear/wheel alignment

I know a number of owners have used Powerstation for the geometry/alignment set ups on their cars, so after a bit of feedback.

I've shot two sets of fronts, the original RE070 and a set of F1s in 4 months/12000 miles - the RE070s were illegal on the outside shoulders after only 3700 miles. Now the F1's are threadbare on the outside - insides are fine.

Had the 4 wheel alignment done when the F1's were added and there were problems with the alignment, which was corrected. But the fact that another set of fronts have disintergrated over south Wales' roads in 8000 miles is unbelievable. On the 4 previous scoobs I've always managed to get 15000 on a set of fronts, and changed the rears every 30000.

SO - firstly, anyone aware of problems on the 06 STi regarding excessive tyre wear (perhaps relating to the DCCD ), and secondly I know Powerstation have a very good reputation what are peoples experiences at Powerstation, regarding problem solving, costs, booking/service time etc.

Having another set of F1's fitted on the front this afternoon, so need to sort something in the next week or two before I shread those as well.

Cheers peeps,

Gareth

Have you posted this in the Wales section on here? If not post it and you might get a more objective answer.

Powerstation are very good :) There are loads of set-up options, all with various benefits/downsides. Talk to them.

Cheers,

Richard.

Yep. Powerstation did my geometry too, its a good set up they have there. That sort of uneven wear doesn't sound right. Apparently a lot of cars leave the factory with less than perfect geometry settings.

Thanks guys, yep, the Wales section was the first port of call, but as well as asking after Powerstation specifically, was wondering if anyone else had had similar probs.

Anyway, wot you 2 doing loose from the Photo Forum !! :D

Cheers
Gareth
