whats the best all round tyre

I know everybody has there own opion but if cost is not a problem which tyre is best to replace the standard one on a 06 sti. I had a few scary moments with the bridgestone's over the winter but I'm sure they will be cracking in the summer, would just like some help.

cheers

For life - Michellin

For Value - Falken

For grip - forget the above 2 because you are going to want some sticky stuff and if they are sticky they are not going to last long!

Also worth checking out Goodyear Eagle or Toyo. Had both on my Scoob and they were very good. Goodyear is normally a little more expensive. Currently running 18" Toyo T1Rs on my RX8 and they are proving to be excellent tyres - much better than the standard fit Bridgestones.

i've found that falkens are better over all than the toyos, had toyos on the front and they didnt like it in the wet

Not being funny but you could of done a search this subject has been "done to death". The best advice i have heard on tyres is to buy the best you can afford simple as.

as said mate, do a search and you'll find loads of info to draw a conclusion:)

being in the same boat as you with the REO70's (and their dislike of british winter roads;)) i'm using michelin PS2's for the winter and the REO70's for summer.

the PS2 is a great all round performer, much like the goodyear eagle F1 but not as soft and so far the shoulders aren't wearing as much.
