have seen this, and from what i have read sounds like just the ticket. maked ps2 region free. Does it also remove macrovision? and if not is this really a problem?

dont understand the point of removing macrovision.
who is going to want to record from dvd to another medium. It defeats the object. Havent tried to copy from it, but I know it works for region freeing, it also plays rce disks which is nice! |
I have it/use it as too mean too buy a DVD player.
I read in one of the PSX mags that the older version with a dongle is berhaps better, but saw in another PS2 mag that it was free on their demo disk  . It does let you watch thru RGB scart without the green tint, so I think macrovision is disabled. Ta Chuck |
errr, green tint is due to configuration of scart plug, nothing to do with lead or macrovision.
You need a tv with a correctly configured rgb scart in order to not experience this. You can check this by plugging the scart into all the ddifferent scart plugs on a decent tv and see which ones give proper colour and which are green. |
cheers gang. I'm told that satan, sorry santa is getting my a PS2 for xmas, so want to make sure the ol R1 dvd's work on it.
