What polish and wax ?

I've got a DMB wagon, Im coming to the end of my Meguiars stuff and Im wanting to try something new. I've got a few swirl marks, nothing too serious, I'm looking for a really good deep wet shine, I've got the clay bar and the rest of it but I'm now looking for a new polish and wax system.

Cheers in advance for any advice and recommendations :thumb:

Heres a piccy to help

Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish and for the wax on that colour it would have to be Blackfire Wet Diamond from Polished Bliss.

Ask SSS his car always looks good with this combo

The Blackfire range works well on dark colours. Try the Gloss Enhancing Polish before the Wet Diamond polymer sealant. Jeffs Werkstatt and Menzerna polishes are very good too, and the Poorboys range of waxes are all good. The guy who detailed my car swears by Chemical Guys products. To be rid of swirls alltogether you need to get the car polished with a rotary polisher such as a Porter Cable with quality polishes, then avoid adding fresh ones with a good cleaning regime thereafter.

Nattys Blue wax works a treat on blue cars:)

The porter cable (PC) is an orbital polisher mate, not a rotary :)

All of the suggestions above are good, personally speaking i'd go with the Jeffs Werkstatt Acrylic system :)

I ordered a load of gear from Polished Bliss last Thursday morning, and it was delivered Friday. Couldn't fault that. Give them a ring (07757 746856) would be best bet, as I think they send stuff out that working day or the next working day if the order doesn't make it in time to be despatched same day.

For what it is worth had a WR Blue blobeye, and think the Blackfire products were awesome. Just got a crystal grey hawkeye, and to be fair to Polished Bliss, they told me to use the Blackfire stuff till it ran out and then go for the Jeffs. So on that advice I knew they weren't just trying to get me to spend more money for the sake of their turnover.

Can't fault them at all.

Cheers

Richard

Both blackfire and Jeffs products will help make the flake pop in the paint, but the latter will do so slightly better and give longer durability, thats why i'd choose the Jeffs, but with the Blackfire you certainly arent going to be disappointed :)

We try to get orders out the same day, if not then next day delivery :thumb:

What would you recommend for white ? :notworthy

Clark @ PB 19 March 2007 06:31 PM

Zymol Vintage is awesome on white, but that costs £2,000 lol, so i'd recommend the Werkstatt Acrylic Kit, its by far the best for white/silver/grey's without spending extortionate money :)

I got the acrylic for my car but aint had time to detail the car yet , but if its anything like the carnuba it will be good.

Also got any pointers for the Makita, Clark ? Mine came back this morning cant wait to try it.....it is deceiving mind cos looking at pictures where people using them they look massive but yet it no bigger than the PC...lol.

If its solid blue Russ then i would go with the jeffs carnuba kit ( this is better with solid colours ) but if metalic blue then the acrylic will give you the protection plus more flake pop....either one i dont think you would be dissapointed.....This is the effect the carnuba had on my g/f's CTR, the prime makes the colour much more deeper plus adds extra protection and with the trigger it can be layered straight after each other ( on buffed off, then repeated ) instead of waiting for it to cure and leaving for 12/24hrs.well im gonna stop there....lol........

I have always used Mur, but recently went over to mcguires which I'm really pleased with. This Jeffs stuff looks really good though.
