Mitsubishi GTO ------ HELP?
A mate of mine is having a real problem getting his GTO back on the road. Its all down to the electronics. He has a reconditioned ECU, but it wont fire up at all. Any help from people on here would be a bonus. The GTO owners sites dont know anything or wont help becasue he 'isnt paid up memeber'.

Wont a new ECU be coded to a different immobiliser key?
|
Totally agree with the two posts above. Join - it'll save him enough and the ECU might be looking for its original key so he could need his key recoded.

I saw a similar tech article in J-tuner that mentioned that the ECU is coded to each car, so you can't just swap in one from another vehicle.

I may be able to help you out. Please post more details.
