MY05 UK STi - Oil Change Cycles?

Just after a bit of advice....

I was under the impression (as per the service manual) that a UK STi only needs its oil changed at the time of service (10k intervals).

Reading Litchfields site it details in the service info (admittedly for JDM cars) that they require the service at the same intervals... but also oil changes every 5000milles by a VAT registered garage.

Can anyone confirm if this should be done? The service manual doesnt mention it... but if its the right thing to do then i will get on it.

Thanks in advance,

I change my oil every 5000 most tuners recommend it, £70-£80 every 5000 for oil and filter change has to be worth it imo

ok, thanks.

Maybe i will do the same then... i guess it cant hurt.

What oil is best?

10k mile services on UK cars, 7.5k (10k km)on JDM's though 5k is normal on JDMs as its 10k km/6 month, uk cars are 10k mile/1 year intervals.
