how to wire AFR gauge into standard lambda
As above, anyone know which wires to tap into our of the 4?
thanks |
i have read someware on here that the black wire is the signal wire. white ones are heater and power...

Tap into the signal wire at the ECU pin 21 white/silver wire
|
is this the same for a wrx 93?
I am running a power FC I guess that wouldn't make a difference? cheers

Connect to the AFR Signal wire direct to the oxygen sensor wire at the ECU.
For ECU pin-out see : ECU Pin-Out 1993 - 1996, 1997 - 1998, 1999 - 2000 |
thanks mate, that's spot on.
would it be ok to ground on any of the other grounds? What's the best way to attach it to the pin out? Strip the wire back and join? cheers

I took mine from the ECU wire and simply cut it and choc stripped the AFR unit wire in.
Worked fine...... although now I have it plumbed directly into the lambda signal wire and am recieving better results, earth directly to battery. Plums. |
Scott.t where did you get that page from? Because as far as I can see the pin layout for the MY99-2000 is wrong?
http://www.fs66.dial.pipex.com/image...ts/MY99ecu.pdf New Page 1 Strange? Plums.... Well not wrong just back to front...... |
My image looks at the MY99/00 from the front of the loom connectors (i.e ECU end) and your one is from the rear of the loom connectors (wire/loom side).
you can tell by the keying of the connectors I have just wired a techedge wideband lambda controller into the rpm and map sensor signals so I can log AFR against boost and rpm. So it is correct as long as you get the connector orientation right. |
Agreed ;)
Plums..... |
