How to stick gauge pod down?

I bought a gauge pod like in the pic (only bigger for 60mm gauges).

What have people used to stick the pod down?

I've used double-sided tape on the pods on both my 99MY and current 03 STi
Glad I did as the damn oil temp. gauge has gone strange on me and it should be easier to lift the pod for replacement.
Tape from Halfords etc.

Did not bother

I made a bracket, drilled a couple of holes in it and then attached it to the original hinges. Now i still have access to the gauges easily and loose very little storage space.

It does not jump around, the wieght of the gauges hold it down on the bumpiest of B roads absolutely fine.

thanks guys.

p1mark I remember seeing those pics on the "one off mod" thread. I think you put the same pics there. Handy idea.

Unfortunately I dont have the things needed to make up a bracket.

I might go with the double sided tape and see how that goes.

Hacksaw
bit of 3 or 4 mm ally/steel plate (sure you can chop something up!)
electric Drill and a couple of bits.

Thats all you need.
