ITV 23.35 - Lily Allen's Playlist

As I know she has sooo many fans on here :norty: don't miss ITV 23.35 - Lily Allen's Playlist, part one.

Promises to be a good series, given that her musical taste is impeccable.... :thumb:

Fantom 14 March 2007 11:46 PM

If she ever gets stuck, she can always use one of her earings as a musical triangle. LOL.

Her old man's a bit of an evil looking geezer, though :)

Well, that's where I have to dissagree. She has an excellent musical pedigree and knows her Old Skool tunes...

I'm hoping the series will reflect that. :)

She's not even a proper chav:nono: She's the public school educated progeny of some posh bird and her bit of rough, who's realised that pretending to be a bit (OK a lot) pikey is the only way to get noticed in the entertainment business these days:(
I say good luck to her for so far succeeding in playing the system, but IMO she's about as genuine as Jordan's tits, and a lot less interesting.

SJ_Skyline 15 March 2007 09:33 AM

Lily who?

She's a talentless wigga, I think you're confusing "excellent musical pedigree" and "Old Skool" with, "load of sh1t".

HTH

:)

but given the choice between that, Euro-pap, danceycrap where they've nicked the backing track from a twenty year old song and mumbled over it or a 'homey' singing expletives think ill go for the least offensive..
big moose she may be, her old man might be a 'bit of a geezer on the Manor', but at least she isnt overly offensive .

:Whatever_

J4CKO 15 March 2007 01:40 PM

I dont mind the recent song, quite original, not liked any of the rest though.

I agree about the singing over a 20 year old song, can be done well but generally isn't. They get by, by being a bit badass and the quality of the original tune, not their own work, remember the sample thing appearing in the eighties, now they just sample the whole track, Eric Prydz did precisely what to The Wall, put a drumbeat over it, removed the guitar solo (the best bit) and er what ? The call on me one, Steve Winwood track I think with some girls in Bikinis dancing, no brainer really.

I am going to re realease 'Mouldy Old Dough' with me in a Borat thong on the video......

May i refer you to

IMHO I do wonder if it is really her taste in music or what she was told to say by the marketing depatrment of her record company.

For someone who claims to have some cool influences and idols she then turns out tuneless plinky-plonkey ''ain't i cool wiv my with my lun-dern accent'' garbage

Did well at the Brits i hear
