Sky multi room wiring
Hi is there a lot of new wiring to put in if i decide to get sky multi room, its from one side of the house to the other.
|
Yep
Had this done last year and they put an ugly wire around the outside of the house. Wife nearly killed me.:freak3:
|
Likewise, cables running along the back of the house in opposite directions:rolleyes:
|
Another cable needs to be run from the current dish to the room where the second box will be located. If its a Sky+ box, that will need two cables running to it from the dish.
If you want it tidy, get an independant aerial specialist in to do the job. |

I took the floorboards up to get mine fitted, bit extreme but tidy + don't forget you need a phone line too.

When they did mine I got them to drill through the gable into the loft space and just leave me loads of cable (and a couple of connectors).
They can't go into lofts, but were happy to let me do the rest (understandably). This avoided going right around the house... |
We just had this done on our new house, and it's a big way from one side of the house to other (sat dish to the multiroom install) but the chap who did it (Sky) was excellent, and rathere than run it visibly, took his time to run it along side the black guttering, and right round the house like this so it's basically invisible. An excellent job - there are some decent chaps out there...
