Pipex - Reverse DNS issue

We have been having some issues recently at work with delayed or missing outgoing e-mails. I have been advised that this could in part be down to the fact we dont have reverse DNS lookups enabled by our ISP (Pipex).

I contacted them last week to find out if there were any plans to offer this service to business customers and received an e-mail back saying that no, at the moment there are no plans.

Do I have to change ISP's to get around this problem now and ensure that we dont continue to have customers calling saying they didnt receive our e-mails?

IIRC its for SPAM issues, some people wan't a reverse record to double check. I could be wrong though:wonder:

another ISP may be the only option if they wont do this for you

Hmm pipex do support this as we use them to host loads of domains at work and have asked them to do similar for us! I'd ask again.....

Usually Pipex register their addresses as no-dns-yet.pipex.com thus giving a reverse lookup (albeit not the one you really want)

Hmm ok thanks for that. I will check again and see if I just got some numpty who replied the first time and didnt know what he was doing and then post back here the results.
