So what defines a supercar?
 

As above really... What is the definition of a supercar?

Is it performace? Is it exclusivity? Is it price?

What is it that makes a supercar a supercar? And why / how are they different from a hypercar?

What car would you say is a supercar?

A super car i would say is Mid engined, over 400bhp 2 seater, low and wide at the back.

A hyper car i'd say Enzo's, Zonda's Koenigseggs etc.

Not sure where a 911 Turbo would fit in though???:wonder:

A hyper car = cars i cant afford and go really really fast lol

Supercar = Rod Stuart will have one:)

Anything that Ferrari,Lamborghini etc,produce are supercars

A supercar is obviously fast, a car that can change your mood into a smile no matter what the occasion, and every drive an enjoyable experience. A supercar is meant to be expensive, but not too much stupidly priced and its got to be a car that attracts attention and makes others smile too.

Cars such as the Aston Martin DB9 / Vanquish or Ferrari F430 and the Ford GT are Supercars.

Hypercars are bonkers, everything about them HAS be wild and mind-blowing! Ostentatious is the main principle around them, to drive a Hypercar is to shout "LOOK AT THIS!" They're loud, rediculously expensive, like buying Switzerland, organ churningly fast, and an absolute swine to drive at anything but full throttle! their whole exsistance is based around going so fast as to making the world stop spinning!

Cars like the Pagani Zonda, Keonigsegg CCS/R/X and Bugatti Veyron are Hypercars.

Easy anything thats not Subaru ! :D

My mate has just defined one by pulling upto my house in his new GT3 he just picked up. (didn't tell anyone he'd bought it, git ;) )

Unfortunately i am at work not home so instead of now being in that i am still at my desk and am now rather pissed off :mad:

I just dont class a Porsche 911 (even turbo) as a supercar. Too sensible!

For me its stuff like Ferrari F40, McLaren F1, Zonda etc.

Stuff like Aston Vanquish and F430 etc just doesnt make into that catagory - they're just at the top end of the sports car bracket.
