help????heater in car is not working properly
 
i have av3 sti and i had to change the heater box behind the dash after changeing the hot air comes out wen heater dial is turned to cold and cold air comes out wen turned to hot:wonder: :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: any1 had this problem???? or know how to sort this out?????plz help.....

I can only think that the metal rod on the servo that is part of the open & close function of the the flap inside the heater unit has been fitted incorrectly.
When you turn the heater dial to hot, the servo arm moves. There is a metal rod that is connected to the servo & the rod is also connected to a small arm with is part of the flap lid. All it does is open or close the lid. So depending on the setting of the dial the hot air is vented out though the flap through to the bulkhead. When fully closed that's when you feel the most heat inside the cabin.

There are a few holes in the arm (flap lid) so its possible they have hooked it into the wrong hole.

That's the only thing I can think of why its working that way.
