HELP NEEDED!
 

Hi I just finished fitting a fmic on my94 wrx. Started the car up and it ran ok for a few mins but now it wont idle at all. revs dip severly and then it just cuts out. lambda sensor seems fine as its still sending info to the afr guage. I was thinking it might be the MAF. If i disconnect the wiring plug from the MAF the car ticks over ok. As soon as I plug it back in engine cuts out.

I was speaking to a mate last night and he thinks that the idle could need adjusted to take into account the length of piping for the intercooler? Anyone any ideas please?Cheers

CHECK ALL HOSES ARE ON SECURE AND NONE HAVE BEEN LEFT OFF
Could try a ecu reset disconect batrie for a while then conect and try again shoudnt need idle adjusting as the front mount is just more volume have you fitted a new filter as well is it one that you oil if so this could have caused the problem as the dry type are better like apexi

Hi mate cheers for the reply I have checked all the hoses are connected right. the filter is an hks mushroom filter that has been on the car since I got it last year
