apprenticeship with BT

During the application stage I was asked if anyone has ever told me I'm colour blind, I said no, cause no one has. Afterwards I tested myself and I am, since then I have passed two stages and am onto the final interview !!! is this all gonna end in tears ?

Any BT techs out there?? I have issues with red/green and its a Higher Service Tech job I'm after

thats a hard one mate! the thing is in the engineering side all cables are colour coded along with a lot of other things...if you cant tell the different between the colours you gona find it hard. they will suss it out.
The apprentaship program doen't just pt you into the engineering side. Has changed in the past year which im sure the internet site explains.

feel free to pm me if you want to kn ow any more.

When I had my interview for my apprenticeship in 1980 the interviewer stuck a 40 pair cable in front of me and asked me what the colours of each wire were. One of my mate's - who was colour blind - failed this and was not offered a job because of it.

I guess that it would all depend on what area of the company you're looking to go into.

Best of luck!!

You tested yourself? Leave it to the professionals mate. If they're that worried about colour blindness, they'll conduct a proper test. Not ask you what someone else thinks.
