how do i save my mums voicemails (sensitive subject)

as some of you will remember i lost my mum in August, 6 months after being diagnosed with cancer.
i have some voicemails on my phone from my mum and am not ready to part with them yet but i am terrified that i will lose them or my phone.

i have a W850i and i would like to take them off the phone and save them. what is the best way to do this and how? :thumb:

i am not very good with complicated things :p

Only way would be to play them and use a tape recorder, as it is physically not possible to take them off the phone.

Time to let go Sara, it's not healthy to hang on to the past. :)

Bug Eyed Peas 27 February 2007 07:49 PM

Could you download them from your phone via your software that came with it?
Just a thought. But I am sure that someone will help you. :thumb:

banny sti 27 February 2007 07:54 PM

Anthony it is not possible to do that, as the vm is not saved on to phone or sim. It is actually stored on the network platform, which you cannot get access to.

if you think you are being clever trolling this thread then you are sorely mistaken

i am not going to take to heart anything you say because i am better than that, if you have anything interesting to say then start another thread then maybe i will give you some attention :)

Cheers for that Banny. I was only trying to help. Not very good with new fangled things :cuckoo:

Actually I was giving you some advice I think you would benefit from. Take it or leave it, no skin off my nose. :)

i would rather you just left the thread as you have nothing constructive to offer. you are here to troll and nothing else

astraboy 27 February 2007 08:01 PM

RTM'd already sara.
if its any help, I managed to save a message for a year and a half, by setting a repeadted reminder on my diary and re-saving the message by entering voicemail.
astraboy.

As you wish...

I hereby retract my advice and leave the thread. Cling on to her voicemails. Perhaps it will bring her back. :freak3:

scooby_me 27 February 2007 08:57 PM

I had a almost simmilar situation. what i did was put the phone ear piece connector into the bottom of the mobile, (mine has a socket to take standard headphones) then got a 3.5m jack to jack.

stuck that into the line in on the pc.

and used a program called "total recorder" to record the source.

quality was excellent.

Hope this helps
